Here we used Timber and Silestone to make an inset chopping board. With this project this highlights the benefits of water jet cutting. We cut a silestone worktop and with the same settings we cut the walnut chopping board to fit.
There was no need to change cutters or machines as you would with traditional manufacturing techniques.
Our waterjet cutting not only allows us to cut different types of materials with the same settings but also cut them at the same time. This is hugely beneficial when creating matching parts.
It can also cut composite panels made of different materials like wood and stone or carbonfibre and metal.
